Dear Friend

If you are like me, you have probably been talked into numerous home business opportunities by friends and relatives. I have been a real sucker for so many things that have come along, because I KNOW there is no better way for the average person to make the kind of money needed to live the proserous and luxurious life we all want and deserve.

I have even had moderate success at network marketing in the past. I had a taste of the fun and freedom this business can provide. The only problem is, just like you, the BIG MONEY and SUCCESS eluded me.

I worked hard and did everything my upline told me to do...I talked to everyone within 10-feet (including my list of 100 friends and family), wore buttons, handed out flyers, put flyers on cars, ran ads in newspapers, posted signs, hosted home meetings...lets see, did I forget anything? I'm sure you can think of a few.

Trading Dollars For Hours

It never made sense to me to work for someone and get paid for the hours I worked. Unless I was paid a tremendous amount per hour, I could never make the kind of money I wanted. Its not likely we will ever find anyone who is willing to pay us $1000+ per hour for our efforts. The only way is to have our own business.


Traditional Business Model

I accidentally got involved in a traditional type business, and I say accidentally because it was never my goal to do this type of business. I was introduced to the company by some friends who needed management help. I thought I could be of assistance, so I got involved. The next thing I knew I was the president of the company and they were all gone.

Suddenly I had a business I needed to fix and grow. One thing led to another and that one small business turned into four companies. If you have never owned a company I have some quick and simple advice for you...DON'T!!!! You couldn't imagine the hassles involved with with employees, corporate officers, state and federal regulations, bankers, stockholders, joint venture partners...Did I mention idiot business partners?

It got to the point where I just wanted to throw it all away. I wanted to go back to the happy days of network marketing where I was surrounded by up-beat, positive thinking, supportive people. The problem was, in order to get to the place I was in these companies, I had signed as a personal guarantor on so many things I had no choice but to make the companies work, or face total financial obliteration. I had to hunker down and get things working well so I could escape.


Time To Figure It All Out

Finally I got to the point where the companies didn't need every second of my life to operate. I saw my opportunity to escape the hell I had been dragged into for eight years and get back to what I knew and loved. Looking at network marketing again, somehow my thinking had changed over time. I had many new experiences. Over the years I had been studying every technique of successful business people I could find.

I thought about the methods I had used in the past to build my network marketing organization and something just didn't seem right. Going back to the old ways almost every upline teaches their poor, unsuspecting recruits was not an option.

With the greatest intentions, the same old useless crap is passed down level after level, sponsor to sponsor, year afeter year, creating the highest failure rate of any business model in existence....95% of all network marketers never even make enough money to pay for their own products.

This is a tragedy since network marketing is also the highest paid business model, creating more millionaires in a shorter time than any other profession. This is something that had always eaten at me, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I think you might be able to relate.

Putting It All Together

I knew I was NEVER going to feel pressured to recruit another friend or family member. I was NEVER going to have my upline tell me I didn't have a big enough "Why". I was NEVER going to be pressured to have another home or hotel meeting. I was NEVER going to stand in front of a train station handing out flyers or put flyers on car windows. I was NEVER going to walk around like a mobile advertisement for my company or products. I wanted to have my business and a personal life too.

Most people take a very casual approach to their home-based businesses and therefore get casual results. The people who do the things I said I would NEVER do again do get results, but usually the results are not proportionate to the effort they put forth. The fact of the matter is, many people don't have the personality type to be able to do the NEVER things without being in constant discomfort.

I'm not a shy or introverted person at all and it even bothered me to do the agressive sales techniques I was taught. No wonder most people either can't or won't do them. If you are not comfortable to do the things commonly taught in the business, then you may be wondering what it is you are supposed to do.

How Anyone Can Be Successful At Network Marketing

I think you will agree, no matter how shy you may be, if someone approaches you and asks your advice or asks you about something you know well, it really isn't hard to tell them what you know, is it? Now, if you were told to go out and approach a stranger and tell them the same information, you would probably have major butterflies just thinking about it, right?

The key is to have people come to you and ask for information about your business opportunity. There are more and more people out there who are tired of their stressful low-paying jobs, the stress of making their lifestyle fit their budget, and not having free time to do what they want, when they want.

People are hungry for information about a legitimate business opportunity that will give them what they want out of life. People are begging for information about a business they can work from home, and has realistic, step-by-step instructions and training how to do it, even if they never owned a business before.

You Don't Have To Do It All

Back to my dear old traditional business model. In some ways traditional business has it right. Think about this...In a company, nobody expects every person who works there to be equally skilled at every job and position. That would be rediculous wouldn't it? Would you expect the bookeeper to also make sales calls? Would you expect the IT person to also do marketing? Of course not!!

So, why in network marketing does your upline expect you to be the marketer, recruiter, product expert, customer service, computer expert, web designer, manager, and bookeeper? Yes, some people can handle it all, but if you ever noticed, the people who are the big shots in the industry don't do all those things themselves. They have a support team who takes care of the things they either don't want to do or don't know how to do. Gee, where did they ever learn that? It wasn't from their upline!!

Delegation

Did you ever want to be the boss and tell other people what to do? Well, here is your chance. I would suggest asking instead of telling, but that is the concept. Say you are good at online marketing and computer stuff but would rather have a root canal than talk to someone on the phone. No Problem. Maybe you are great on the phone but don't know the first thing about organizing a business plan. No Problem.

I learned a long time ago that I'm no dummy, but I also know I'm not the smartest person in the world. I am very good at some things, and miserable at others. Here is where my 8 years of business taught me something. I'm not an accountant or bookeeper, so I hired it out. I'm not a secretary, so I hired one. There are many things I am not really good at, so I delegated it to others who are good at those particular things.

I have always surrounded myself with friends whom I admire for their talents and things I am not good at doing. That way I can learn from them and get their help when I need it. I try my best to do things for them that I may be able to do better.

We work as a team. This is a great concept for building a network marketing business. The beauty of it is you don't have employees to worry about but you get the benefit from people's skills. Everyone gets compensated for their time and effort better than if they were an employee and everyone compliments each others skills.

You are probably thinking this all sounds great; get a group of people together who have various skills, delegate the duties of the business, and work together for mutual benefit. But what exactly do you delegate? I thought you would never ask!!!
